Sawadee Ka From Thailand!

Hello family and friends!  Thailand team two arrived in Phuket on Friday morning after three full days of travel. We had Saturday off to rest and spent time at the gorgeous beach that happens to be a three minute walk from our house! We have been eating lots of delicious Thai food and are already building relationships with the locals and our wonderful host family.  Stay tuned for more updates as we begin ministry this week! Thank you for your prayers!

God Talks, We Just Need To Listen

Yesterday during team time we were handed a note card with a number on it. Each person was assigned a number but we didn’t know who corresponded with the numbers. We were told to pray over the card and write what we had for the person, so we had to trust God to tell us what to write. I was handed a purple card with the number nine. I immediately thought of my dad since he passed away on August 9th. However, I didn’t want to write about the lose of a father because not many people can relate. But I kept feeling a tug. Finally, I wrote about how even if we feel without an earthly...

Traveling to Thailand

My travel to Thailand began on June 3 when I drove down to Gainesville, Georgia with my parents. I was nervous at first because I didn’t know what to expect, but by the end of the first evening, excitement began to replace the nervousness. I was able to get to know my team which consisted of of 5 other girls and my leader. I have been very blessed by them. There were multiple other teams also that were going to serve in other countries. I felt overwhelmingly blessed to be able to camp, learn, and worship with so many other young people who love the Lord. By the end of the four days,...

We got in late Thursday night so Friday was a day of rest. Sami and I tried running but that wasnt going to happen!! There was too many adorable children to play with!! You walk outside and they come running with arms wide open. The language barrier is just that–a barrier. But it is such a beautiful thing to see how simply loving on these children shows Christs love.    1 John 3:18, “Little children, let us not...

Demons exist…

It is currently our fourth day in the Dominican Republic and I could not be more excited to be here. Yes, we may all have 20+ bites from bugs all down our legs, we may all be sweating buckets, and we may all be burnt to crisp from the sun, but we are full of joy. There is an energy that radiates from this place that can only be that of God. We have two sets of devotions every day, along with team time, and a Bible study before breakfast. God is here. And He is moving. Fast. He has already engulfed each one of us not only spiritually, but physically...
