When the Glamour’s Gone

Hello everyone! So much has happened in these first weeks in Albania! As I said before, my team was able to spend the day in Rome which was crazy cool! Afterwards we went to our ministry site and were able to have a few days of rest which was very needed! In that few days my team was given the opportunity to play as extras in a film being produced by a Christian organization to use as a door to give the gospel, to see the beach, and to find a shop that had wifi! We also found a shop nearby that carries Nutella (Praise the Lamb)! The food here is very good. Bread and cheese at every...

Quick Update

We are safe in Albania!!  Training camp was crazy!!! It was filled with showers that consisted of bugs, scoops, buckets, and a lot of talent. We basked in the presence of the Lord and gave all of our past shame to the Lord in exchange for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit! Wednesday we spent our twelve hour layover in Rome! And boy was it interesting.   We spent our day waving at the Colosseum, sleeping in front of the Vatican, and eating at the coolest little Italian cafe! That night we arrived at Albania, and woke up to A wonderful hot breakfast and a smile. We have spent the...

Përshëndetje from Albania

Hello friends, family and supporters! After a mind-glowingly amazing day in Rome, we have made it to Albania, safe and sound. After about 36 six hours of travel, including selfies with the Roman Coliseum, authentic Italian pasta dishes and the best gelato you could ever imagine, we are tired.  Really. Really tired.  Our host has been gracious enough to extend us several rest days before we begin our laborious ministry, so we have spent some time sleeping in (PRAISE) and being filled up by the Father. These few days of Sabbath are invaluable and so very sweet.  Our location is...

Brace Yourself, Take a Deep Breath, and Pour

Brace yourself, take a deep breath, and pour. This was my ritual every morning during my four days at training camp before I dumped the first cup of freezing water over my head to start my bucket shower. If you haven’t tried a bucket shower, you really should. I don’t even know why we have hot showers in America, bucket showers build character for sure. The process goes as such: grab a five gallon bucket, fill it with a hose, carry/drag said bucket into an empty stall, close the curtain, pray it stays closed, fill up your first cup with water, and see the steps listed in the...
