What God and a Movie Taught Me About Life, Love, and Comfort Zones

Ma: You’re gonna love it. Jack: What? Ma: The world. -Room   God likes to speak to me through many things: His top three are probably songs, through other people, and with metaphors. I once learned the equivalent of a semester’s worth of theology classes from a bag of skittles and a revelation from God. No joke.   Somewhere between airplane meals, dozing off, and reading the entire airline magazine twice, I watched the movie Room on the plane to New Delhi. You can guess–today, I realized something important about Room and the way the story reflects the way we...

Safe in Swaziland!

I am excited to announce the team has made it safely to their ministry site in Swaziland! They are combating some jet-lag, but settling into their new home well! Over the next couple of days, they will receive a cultural briefing and ministry orientation to get a better picture of what their time in Swaziland will look like!  Internet in Swaziland can be scarce, but we will try to make sure at least one blog is posted here each week! We are so excited to see everything God does in and through them over these next few months! Blessings,  The Passport Team

Brace Yourself, Take a Deep Breath, and Pour

Brace yourself, take a deep breath, and pour. This was my ritual every morning during my four days at training camp before I dumped the first cup of freezing water over my head to start my bucket shower. If you haven’t tried a bucket shower, you really should. I don’t even know why we have hot showers in America, bucket showers build character for sure. The process goes as such: grab a five gallon bucket, fill it with a hose, carry/drag said bucket into an empty stall, close the curtain, pray it stays closed, fill up your first cup with water, and see the steps listed in the...

They Are…

One of the greatest things as a leader is to see your team members jumping into the unknown with full hearts and trusting that they are going to be making an impact where they are. Guatemala team 1 is in Antigua this month partnering with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) and the various ministries they are apart of. This month will be full of evangelism, food distribution to the homeless, children’s ministry, and so much more. Still I am most excited about the growth that is coming for my team. They are already setting the bar very high since being here. They have such an incredible...

Përshëndetje from Albania

Hello friends, family and supporters! After a mind-glowingly amazing day in Rome, we have made it to Albania, safe and sound. After about 36 six hours of travel, including selfies with the Roman Coliseum, authentic Italian pasta dishes and the best gelato you could ever imagine, we are tired.  Really. Really tired.  Our host has been gracious enough to extend us several rest days before we begin our laborious ministry, so we have spent some time sleeping in (PRAISE) and being filled up by the Father. These few days of Sabbath are invaluable and so very sweet.  Our location is...

Safe in Guatemala!

The team has arrived safely in Guatemala! They are currently with their host and getting settled into their housing for the summer.    The team will spend the coming days getting introduced to their ministry, coming to know the culture, and finding a routine for the summer ahead.  They will be finding internet in the next couple of days so that they can communicate home and share more about what their days and weeks will look like.  Until then, we wanted to let you know that all is well.  Hope that you’re as excited to follow along with their adventure as we...
