It Was All Worth It

June 29th was a miraculous day. We put on a Teen Camp and the previous night I wrote in my journal how I hated that the kids didn’t know Christ. I wrote, “Please help them draw nearer to You. Amen.” God answered my prayer.

We were asked to pray over the teens as we felt called, and on June 29th, multiple teens stepped forward to accept Christ into their lives. There was one group of basketball boys who I felt particularly close to, but only two of them had a relationship with Christ.

I was praying over one teen when I turned around to see that the chairs where the basketball boys had been seated were empty. They were all at the front of the room ready to accept Christ. I started to cry and the tears didn’t stop for quite some time.

The rest of our squad was all in tears. We all grew a relationship with Carlito, a young worker for the ministry we stayed at. He was one of the first to step forward and we were all so thrilled. One girl had a vision of God taking his hand and Carlito being His even if he didn’t fully understand.

It was a wonderful night to say the least. That one night made everything worth it. It made the early mornings, the lack of air conditioning, the strange food, and the hard work all worth it. God claimed more children that night and now I get to see all of them in Heaven one day. That night was the reason I came on this adventure.
