The House Church (Community)

The thought of house churches have intrigued me for the last couple of years. I’ve wrestled with the idea if true community existed in the two minutes given in a typical church service to mingle. I tried my best to force myself to go to church but felt more like a spectator watching an event rather than an active participant in what was happening.  During my first semester at G42, the idea of starting a community sparked my interest even more. A place where everyone could contribute; not just the pastor. A place where everyone was welcome to interact; atheists, homeless,...

We Made it to Guatemala

Hello from Guatemala! We arrived safely in Guatemala City on July 6th! We are staying at a YWAM base and doing ministry with them. Today, we went to church at a church called Access Church, and it’s a “missionary” church. After church they had baptisms and one of our team members was baptized and asked the team leaders to baptize her. It was so powerful! This week we will have orientation and start to do ministry! We are so excited to be here and are so excited to see what the Lord has in store for this month!

Saying Yes

Today is the day that my team and I leave for Zambia! The past 3 days we had the opportunity to go through a training camp where we met our team, worshiped our Heavenly Father, and went through training sessions. Being honest, I had arrived in Atlanta on Monday ready to go to Zambia right away and was a bit disappointed we had to spend a few more days in Georgia before we left. But looking back now, I can see that training camp was essential for this month long journey. Even in the last three days, God has shown me so much more of who He is, who I am, and what His plan is for my life. The...

Hold on to his voice

Back in December I did a Sozo session in Redding, California at Bethel Church. Sozo is the Greek word for saved, healed, delivered. Sozo is an inner healing ministry. In the session we prayed into distortions I have about myself.  Being in recovery from an eating disorder, worthiness and self image are things I have battled with for a long time. In the Sozo session the Lord told me that “freedom is being fully present with the children in Africa”. This is a promise I clung to months before the trip when the enemy tried to convince me that I would be distracted-that I...

Thailand Wrap Up

Hello! I wanted to give you all a look into some of the things we were privileged to be a part of during our time in Thailand and how they impacted me.   My team: First off, training camp was an incredible time of preparation and getting to know my team. We listened to speakers on topics such as the Kingdom of God, listening to the Holy Spirit, and what it means to fulfill the Great Commission (from Matthew 28:19-20). My leaders, Tara and Emily, were incredible. Tara is artistic and very in touch with the spiritual world – she has the gift of prophecy. Emily is the sweetest...
