Malibongwe – May His Name Be Praised

At Killarney the Bulawayo Baptist Church provides love and laughter; praise and worship; a Bible story; and an egg for the children that come each Friday. This program is part of a larger initiative called Fruitful Harvest. Fruitful Harvest has a program called Egg-A-Day, where they go into local schools and provide a hardboiled egg for children every single day. For $5 a month, you could sponsor an egg each day for one child. For inquiries on how to donate, email me at bethany.grayczyk@gmail.com. Thank you for watching and please continue to pray for the country of Zimbabwe!   This...

More Than I Imagined

This month I’ve seen more ants and spiders and lizards than I’ve seen in my life, they’re everywhere. I’ve received more hugs and high fives than I ever have. I’ve felt the Lord continuously filling me with more joy and more passion everyday. And I’ve seen more Jesus than I ever have, in the big moments and in the simplest moments. I feel like the theme for this month has been “more“. God has shown me that the world needs more of Him and less of me – that He must become greater and I must become less. He has reminded me that He is constantly...

Well Parents, Get Ready and Buckle Up!

Well, parents of Passport Racers, buckle up! Because you are in for the ride of your life. How? Why? Because when your daughter returns from The World Race… She will be forever changed. Just as she was called to go on The Race, Since before the beginning of time, She has been called to ‘Live Life Differently.’ To live boldly. And you can bet she will. She may live it differently than you would expect. And she may live it just as you expect. Only God and your Racer know that. How do I know? Well, I welcomed home my second World Racer last June. (You can see the welcome home...

A Country of Hope and Resilience

Our team arrived here on October 2, 2018, less than a week before the Zimbabwean economy took a turn for the worse. Zimbabwe is a country that has been struggling, but it is also a country of hope and of resilience. While here, the Zimbabwean people have showed our team some of the most grace, hospitality, and love that I have ever experienced. Over the course of my two months spent here in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe (April, while on my World Race, and October, while Passport leading) I have slowly come to fall in love with this country and their people. The state of this country and what is happening...

Never Changed, Yet Always Changing

Some lyrics from the song “Rest in You” by All Sons and Daughters have been on my heart lately and I wanted to share them with you all: “You cannot change, Yet You change everything” We make mistakes. Our faith waivers. We fall short. Our heart changes. We sin. We are constantly changing, yet He never does. His love is constant. His grace is constant. His hope is constant. His strength is constant. His peace is constant. We went to an orphanage on Monday for children ages five and under. We were playing outside with some of the kids when our taxi driver, Jonathan, pulled...
