A Country of Hope and Resilience

Our team arrived here on October 2, 2018, less than a week before the Zimbabwean economy took a turn for the worse.

Zimbabwe is a country that has been struggling, but it is also a country of hope and of resilience.

While here, the Zimbabwean people have showed our team some of the most grace, hospitality, and love that I have ever experienced.

Over the course of my two months spent here in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe (April, while on my World Race, and October, while Passport leading) I have slowly come to fall in love with this country and their people.

The state of this country and what is happening is heart breaking, but the people here take it in stride.

Thankfully Zimbabwe is a country with freedom of religion and in the midst of this my team has seen people press into the Lord and seek Him out so fervently that I stand back in awe and wonder at the amazing ways that God takes dire situations and turns them around in order to work towards His glory!

Please continue to pray for the country of Zimbabwe and all of the wonderful people that are here. They are so hungry for the Lord—”the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” Also, please pray for the Bulawayo Baptist Church, their pastor, Pastor Jeff, and all of the leadership team there as they continue to share the Lord’s grace, peace, and comfort to the people of Bulawayo.
