This is where God wanted me

I remember when I got accepted to this trip I was so excited. That was back in February, and in the months leading up to this trip that excitement dwindled.

I got busy, and when I got busy the trip fell to the back of my mind. Every once in a while I thought about it and felt guilty that I wasn’t more excited so I would tell everyone about it and pray a lot and research the culture. It wasn’t real though, I didn’t give it the respect it deserved.

The day before training camp I still didn’t feel energized, I didn’t feel like this trip was something that I needed to do. So I prayed. For hours I spent time with God just asking for my heart to be changed. Asking that I would be inspired. I woke up Monday morning and I was unbelievably excited.

I got to training camp and met 15 of the best people I’ve ever met. We got along immediately and we grew together and encouraged each other and got ready for Nepal.

Man, when Wednesday rolled around and the other teams left I felt desperate. I knew we had to be in the states for 36 more hours and all I wanted was to be in Nepal.

Now we are here. Guys, it’s so beautiful. The people of Nepal are incredible. There is so much happening in Nepal. God is working in unbelievable ways. The spirit is at work here in Nepal and I feel so blessed to be part of it.
