Update!!!!!! First Impressions!!!!!!!

Update!!!!!! First Impressions!!!!! Hi family, friends & strangers! If you hadn’t heard I left on January 25th to AIM (Adventures in Missions) in Gainesville, Georgia for a 3 day mini training camp. I decided against my backpack and settled on a suitcase because, well, I’m still working on minimalism. On Monday we packed all of our things and went to the Atlanta International Airport. I went on my longest flight in the history of my entire life. 13 hours. It actually flew by!!!! I watched my favorite musical Hairspray and many others. We had a layover in Qatar (HOW COOL IK)...

Here’s a snapshot of what life has looked like these past few days from your team leaders… -Bucket showers, which consist of a pitcher of water which you poor on your head and hope for the best. -Hand washing clothes. -Teaching at a local school in the mornings with around 70 kids in your class. -Being a human jungle gym and all the kids literally hanging on you. -Cooking for ourselves. -Unexpected power loss which results in star gazing. -Dance parties while wearing your head lamps. -Soccer ministry every afternoon, providing a safe outlet for the kids in the community....

A Love Letter???????

Reading my bible. For some reason in the United States I had always thought of the Bible as something like a textbook. I could never just sit and read it. The bible was meant to be studied, analyzed, broken in to pieces ((which you can so do & you should)). I read my bible but it was always an ordeal. I needed to find a quiet space, have my pen, notebook, journal, worship music, etc. And somedays it would be great. I would choose a passage and God would totally speak to me. But other days I was left completely confused because I felt like if I didn’t have a plan or come out of it...
