Hello friends, family and supporters!
After a mind-glowingly amazing day in Rome, we have made it to Albania, safe and sound. After about 36 six hours of travel, including selfies with the Roman Coliseum, authentic Italian pasta dishes and the best gelato you could ever imagine, we are tired.
Really. Really tired.
Our host has been gracious enough to extend us several rest days before we begin our laborious ministry, so we have spent some time sleeping in (PRAISE) and being filled up by the Father. These few days of Sabbath are invaluable and so very sweet.
Our location is beautiful–right on a river, teeming with livestock and nestled in some beautiful mountains. We are only a 45 minute walk from the beach, so we have some big plans to visit the Adriatic Sea in the near future. For some of us, it will be the first time we have ever seen anything like it! Prepare for awe!
The food is delicious. Almost all of it is made fresh by the fantastic woman who cooks for us. I’m serious; she makes the cheese from her own goats’ milk, she grows the greens and raises the chickens…It is nuts.
Our showers are warm, which is pretty fantastic, though a little unnecessary in this beautiful climate. And the squatty potties are pretty luxurious, too, if I do say so myself. I urge you to ask your participants about it. Some of them are having a…humorous…adjustment.
Internet is pretty difficult to come by here, so please be patient with us as we work and serve. We may only get internet weekly, and that comes with a long long walk and a few spent Lek (usually on ice cream, lets be real).
Thanks for your prayers so far, and we look forward to those continuing. We ask that you pray specifically against any illness that would try and detract from our purpose; pray for unity and community to grow wildly amongst our team; speak diligence and work ethic over our ministry and obedience over each of our spiritual walks.
We are so ready to dig into what the Father has for us. I assure you–it will be life changing. Thanks all!
