From the start of training camp, God began to give me the word “Good.” I’ve been meditating on this word and He just kept reiterating it in every speaker and every song at training camp. The first night, the speaker said, “God’s definition of good and our definition of good is totally different.” I’ve never thought about this before. When I think of something being good, I think of it being “happy” or “easy” or “enjoyable”. But, this isn’t always the case with God’s definition. The road ahead won’t always be enjoyable or easy, but it will be “good.” It will be good in the way of me growing closer to God in the hard times, praising Him for the happy things and praising Him for when ministry falls through. It will be good because God gets to know our hearts better. It means I will have to trust Him. It means I will have to trust Him and He will never leave me. It means He provides all our needs, and He doesn’t give us what we want, but what we need. It means God will always be there and in the end, God wants us to know Him deeper. And that is GOOD! I have a good, good Father. You have a good, good Father!

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. This was my favorite song from training camp that I now have on repeat. It’s so powerful!
