Thing that spoke to me

Saturday Lecture

It’s easy to see what we don’t have.

Often we forget what we do have and who we are. Who are you? Everything starts small and as we trust God he can make everything bigger. But it takes times. You might say you want to do something tomorrow but it won’t happen. Don’t wait act right away. This is reality. Do not try to be someone else. Be yourself.

“Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.”

1 Timothy 4:14 NIV

Do not be careless of your gift. Honor your gift. Honor what you have. You must use what you have. God will bring better things. Often we wait and envy what others have. We forget what God Has in trusted us. We want to use other people’s gifts. Do not wait for big things to happen. Start small. If you wait you will not see the big things. God cannot bring increase on whats not there. God expects for us to use our gifts. He expects us to multiply our own gift. He will bless it. The gift, talent, and purpose that we have we need to use. USE THE LITTLE YOU HAVE. AND GOD WILL BEING INCREASE. BE YOURSELF. QUIT SAYING THAT I DON’T HAVE. QUIT SAYING IM NOT HANDSOME. QUIT SAYING IM NOT BEAUTIFUL. BE YOURSELF.  Don’t question yourself and your gift. Use it no matter how simple and small it is. God will grow it. Go called Moses to deliver the people. Moses answered I cannot talk use someone else. He was arguing with God. Maybe you are arguing with him too. No not me use someone else. He can do better than me. She can sing better than me.

“Then the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” “A staff,” he replied. The Lord said, “Throw it on the ground.” Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it. Then the Lord said to him, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail.” So Moses reached out and took hold of the snake and it turned back into a staff in his hand. “This,” said the Lord, “is so that they may believe that the Lord, the God of their fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has appeared to you.””

Exodus 4:2-5 NIV

With that simple staff he delivered his peoples. 40 years that staff was there. God brings water out of the rock. You need to stop saying what you don’t have. You need to wake up. With the same staff he send them to victory.  Same dumb staff.

“Then Samson said, “With a donkey’s jawbone I have made donkeys of them. With a donkey’s jawbone I have killed a thousand men.””

Judges 15:16 NIV

It was just a jawbone. Use the little you have. Use what you have on your hand.

Let’s talk about David. When he fought him what did he have? Did he train for many years ? Did he fought many battles? When he used the other peoples armor it was too heavy and uncomfortable.  You cannot use someone else armor/talent.

What do you have in your hand?

Take a moment in think.

David didn’t have many weapons

Moses had a staff

Samson had a jawbone of a donkey.

You don’t have to have great things. You just have to have faith that that little gift you have God will use. If you have faith like a mustard seed the mountain will move. This whole story just change the way I thought. I did not come up with this a pasor brought this up and it was so good I just have to share.

Do not neglect the gift you have.

What do you have in your hand ?
