Our Summer 2016 team officially arrived in the D.R. on Tuesday, June 7’th! The team was very excited to be in the Dominican after a long flight delay in New York. The team will spend the coming days getting introduced to their ministry, coming to know the culture, and finding a routine for the months ahead.   They will be getting internet within the week so that they can communicate home and share more about what their days and weeks will look like.  Until then, we wanted to let you know that all is well.  Hope that you’re as excited to follow along with their adventure...

A bucket shower is simple; you take a bucket and shower. It is a lot harder than you think it would be actually. You take a five gallon bucket and fill it up with the water hose, then you use the cup in the bucket to wash everything (hint: you don’t really get that clean from it). It makes you smell clean and look somewhat clean but you aren’t actually clean. That is how sin is, you look clean but on the inside you aren’t really clean.Some of our sins only we see. . .so we think. God sees everything. He knows every sin we have ever committed. We walk around acting like we have...

I am now sitting in the JFK airport in New York watching the people go by. My team and I just traveled from Atlanta after spending about four days in training camp. I love people watching. I always have. I love making up stories of what the people could possibly be doing/going/meeting. However, I rarely spend any time thinking about the true stories behind the faces.
