The Kingdom of Heaven

I’ve been in Cambodia for close to two weeks now and it’s felt like we’ve gotten a bit of everything to this point. A typical day has us teaching for four hours and playing with the kids at the orphanage for any spare time we have between meals and team time. This week our whole team with the exception of Joe ended up at the hospital with upset stomaches but are all feeling well at this point.   Last Sunday as the kids at the orphanage led worship, I felt the presence of the Lord in a special way. Intimacy in Uncomfortability

Before I left California for this missions trip, I asked God to change me on this mission. At training camp in Gainesville, I remember singing a song about God changing us the way He wanted to change us. The lady singing on the keyboard reminded us how bold of a prayer we were singing. For some reason, I didn’t think too much of it. I guess I assumed that God would tweak me a little, make me more eager to share the gospel, something like that. But I was wrong.
