The Simple Gospel

This week our team split in half to serve at 2 different care points. My group had the privilege of teaming with a Swaziland ministry called Ambassadors of Hope, a ministry of young adults who travel around Swazi praying for revival. Together, we went out and visited homesteads to share the word. (A homestead is a plot of land that belongs to a family. They live, farm crops, and raise animals on this land.)    Often home visits consist of missionaries going out and being good company; they commonly do chores for the members of the community ( fetch water, clean , assist with...

To Paint a Picture

FIRST: Thank you to everyone who supported me and helped me to get here! You are all incredible and I’m so blessed by you, can’t thank you enough! Ok so, just want to start off by saying a 15 hour plane ride isn’t as difficult as it sounds with Advil PM at your side 😉 We got here around 6:45 pm, greeted by a lovely Swazi smile we made our way to Pretoria to stay in a host home for the night. Yet knowing something logically is worlds different than feeling it in the heart. The kids love when we read books to them. It is one of the few moments of peace and quite they get during there day (imagine spending an entire...

His praise will always be on my lips

Thank you for the preciousness of this life Jesus. We aren’t promised a certain amount of time, but what we are promised is that in each and every moment you recklessly, and unashamedly love us, exactly where we are at. You meet us in the celebration, mundane, and in pain. We just have to sit with open hands and receive. You are teaching me the importance of praising you in every moment, from the freezing cold bucket showers at training camp, to being crammed on a plane for 15 hours wedged between two of my beautiful teammates. Over the next two months in every moment give us eyes to see...
