Little Hearts

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” -Matthew 6:21    Coming into this week of ministry, I was very hesitant about teaching children. I’ve never been very good with kids unlike many of my friends. Kids ministry was definitely out of my comfort zone; especially when teaching English in a culture I don’t know very much about.     God challenged me to step out and really make an effort to teach; not just sit on the sidelines and watch the other girls who were more comfortable with the ministry. THE PROSTITUTE AND THE FLOWER ARE THE SAME

I watched as the flower was bought, money exchanged from hand to hand, and carefully held as they approached the steps. Gently they slid their sandals off and their bare feet felt the stone steps leading up to the platform, and just as careful as the flower was exchanged, they knelt as their children follow and pray to the single statue erected in the middle of a park where the feeling of pain and darkness is truly tangible in the air. Traveling to our ministry destination in Korat has been six months coming for me, and I am beyond joyful to be here.   As soon as we passed over the threshold of the Tamar Center in our new home, I fell in love. We haven’t even begun ministry yet!  As always, I am apprehensive about my choice to say yes to what the Lord has been calling me to do. I know we are all in the center of God’s will here, which is the best place to be. But I still haven’t...

My Story Behind Going

Hey friends! I am happy to tell you that after traveling for what felt like forever (22 hours) and a 5 hour drive days later, my team and I have finally made it to our ministry spot in Thailand and I am loving it already! Below is the background story of why I decided to go on this Passport mission trip. I hope you enjoy it and I look forward to writing to you all again soon! Last year in January, I talked with some friends about feeling called to work with human trafficking victims in Asia, I just didn’t know where or when exactly. We prayed about it and left it with Jesus because I...

They will be spending the next few days being immersed in the culture, eating delicious Thai food, combating jet lag, and bringing hope and love to the people of Thailand. Stay tuned for updates from the team! Blessings, The Passport Team
