It has been a very eventful and challenging first 2 weeks. The Lord has been faithful in multiple ways, by giving us a team that can encourage and work well together, having many ministries to show His love through whether it be picking up garbage, teaching kids, or prayer walks and giving us a family like Juan’s to work alongside with for a month.
Most days look like:
breakfast
team time (we shared testimonies this past week, feedback and bible studies)
morning ministry (prayer walks, listening prayers, community cleanup)
lunch
free time/first shift at school
second shift at school/free time
dinner
night ministry (children, young adult, soccer)
bed time!!
Our time here has been challenging in the sense that we have truly had to lean on the Lord in many situations. But we have also had much to rejoice in with the way the Lord is using the team and Juan to glorify Him.
It’s been interesting living with 27 other people for the past 15 days. Community living is one of a kind and thankfully we all do our best to respect and love on one another throughout each day. It’s been so encouraging learning and growing from my pal’s faith in the Lord. Each one has such a different and unique relationship with our Father and each one is touching my heart in a different way.
I’ve been challenged by the Lord to not just be confident in myself but live in confidence of who He has made me to be. The verse I’ve been pursuing and engraving on my soul is 2 Timothy 1:7, For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
It’s a beautiful reminder that our Father has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us in love, power and self-discipline and that we are called to flee from fear and timidity.
We have also chased after seeing fear in a new light. We’ve all had to learn to remove darkness from fear and add some light into it because in everything we should be in utter fear of how powerful and majestic our Lord is and how he can fight off any darkness.
So all in all chichi is alive and ready for the next 2 weeks, as am I and the good ole guat team.
Continued prayers for restoration as we give our all these last 2 weeks and that we continue to seek the Lord for love, strength, and steadfastness.
GOD IS GOOD Y’ALL
Thanks for taking the time to read this update and praying alongside me and my new buds.
