Greetings from the village of Seilmat in Manipur, India! P.S. I wrote this blog a few days ago but had some technical difficulties so pretend it’s the day after we arrived for the duration of this blog!
After about 48 hours of traveling we have arrived at our ministry location for the
month! I am so blown away, encouraged, and proud of my team. I have
learned so much from them all ready and am so blessed that the Lord
has allowed me to walk alongside of them in this journey.
I have learned not the underestimate the work that Jesus can do in a week.
In just a week, the Lord has knit us together as a family. In just a
week, we’ve pressed into deeper freedom and intimacy with the Father.
In just a week, we have learned each other’s heart for missions and
partnered in bringing the Kingdom together. In just a week, we have
tried new foods, met new friends, and some girls even flew on a plane
for the first time (and rocked it if I do say so myself)!! In just a
week God has revealed His goodness to me in totally new and beautiful
ways.
Yesterday we had the opportunity to battle jet lag (FYI jet lag is
beating me as I am writing this blog wide awake at 4am) and jump head
first into ministry. I have never seen a group of people so eager to
begin serving. We were responsible for chapel at the seminary where we
are living. In only a few hours notice the team pulled together and
prepared songs and a sermon to encourage our brothers and sisters from
all over North East India and surrounding countries. Next, we had the
opportunity to go to the hospital down the street and pray over the
patients and the building. Tears started flowing as I watched my team
lay hands on the sick and pray bold prayers of healing.
If yesterday was any indication of the rest of our time here, then I
can’t even begin to imagine how the Lord is going to use this team.
They are world changers who allowed Jesus to totally transform their
hearts and minds in order to be the hands and feet to India. I am so proud of them and together we are expecting Goto do big things in Sielmat this month!
The team at Prayer Mountain this afternoon!
