Thailand Ministry

I’ve been in Thailand for a few weeks now, and it’s nothing like I expected. We are living at the church and me and another girl use our sleeping pads to sleep in the lobby of the church because it’s the only place that’s cool. I bought skinny jeans and a little make up because as it turns out, you’re supposed to fit in enough to not stand out at the bars. Who knew? Sorry missionary skirts, see you never again. Thai food is spicy and my stomach cannot hang. We are working on it. There’s a coffee stand around the corner that has the best coffee in town for...

Many Thanks

I would like to dedicate this blog to a few people. I feel like I need I give a big thank you to these people, and I hope I can string together my words well enough to make one coherent blog. Just a few days ago, I started running 2 miles a day with my teammate Lauren. To prepare myself for this miserable journey of self improvement, I made an...

The Rumors Are True!

You may have heard that I’m returning to Cambodia, for like an entire year to teach English…. the rumors are true. That I am. And here’s the story.    Back at good ol’ training camp, we had done an exercise where we asked the Holy Spirit to give us a word or a vision, either for ourselves or for someone else. My teammate came up to me later and told me the Holy Spirit gave her the word “fellowship” for me. On Friday of the second week, we took an unexpected trip to Siem Reap to take a teammate to the hospital, and only half of our team was able...

The travel day poops…

Starting the travel day off ?around 6:30am? was pretty easy. We had breakfast, grilled cheese and potatoes with a side of milk tea, and said our goodbyes. We only had one truck, 14 people and about 11 bags to take down the mountain to the river. We were cramped up together, but we had the best time! Someone asked me to commentate the ride so I stood up the entire time to make sure I saw something that I could comment on. It was honestly one of the funniest things I’ve ever done; I loved it. We got to the river and I realized that I had to go to the bathroom. Other girls did too so we...
