How Deep the Father’s Love

Humans struggle so often with feelings of discontentment.  We search desperately for fulfillment, for joy, for light.  We delve into the darkest parts of our souls trying to find purpose and meaning.  We lose ourselves in our efforts to find ourselves and spiral out of control as we try to hold everything together. But God calls us to something higher.  He calls us to pursue Him and to rest in Him.  He calls us to seek Him in the high places and in the low places.  He calls us to be aware of who we are in Him and of the truth He declares over us.  He calls...

More Than I Imagined

This month I’ve seen more ants and spiders and lizards than I’ve seen in my life, they’re everywhere. I’ve received more hugs and high fives than I ever have. I’ve felt the Lord continuously filling me with more joy and more passion everyday. And I’ve seen more Jesus than I ever have, in the big moments and in the simplest moments. I feel like the theme for this month has been “more“. God has shown me that the world needs more of Him and less of me – that He must become greater and I must become less. Well Parents, Get Ready and Buckle Up!

Well, parents of Passport Racers, buckle up! Because you are in for the ride of your life. How? Why? Because when your daughter returns from The World Race… She will be forever changed. Just as she was called to go on The Race, Since before the beginning of time, She has been called to ‘Live Life Differently.’ To live boldly. And you can bet she will. She may live it differently than you would expect. And she may live it just as you expect. Only God and your Racer know that. How do I know? Well, I welcomed home my second World Racer last June. (You can see the welcome...

A Country of Hope and Resilience

Our team arrived here on October 2, 2018, less than a week before the Zimbabwean economy took a turn for the worse. Zimbabwe is a country that has been struggling, but it is also a country of hope and of resilience. While here, the Zimbabwean people have showed our team some of the most grace, hospitality, and love that I have ever experienced. Over the course of my two months spent here in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe (April, while on my World Race, and October, while Passport leading) I have slowly come to fall in love with this country and their people. The state of this country and what is...

Thing that spoke to me

Saturday Lecture  It’s easy to see what we don’t have.  Often we forget what we do have and who we are. Who are you? Everything starts small and as we trust God he can make everything bigger. But it takes times. You might say you want to do something tomorrow but it won’t happen. Don’t wait act right away. This is reality. Do not try to be someone else. Be yourself.  “Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.” 1 Timothy 4:14 NIV Do not be careless of your gift. Honor your...
