The Ethereal Warrior

Embarking on a missions trip, crossing the Atlantic Ocean for the first time is probably the craziest thing that I have ever done. But sometimes you just have to let go of your fear and be crazy for Jesus. This has proven to be the best experience ever and I am only 5/6 days into my trip. I have experienced many firsts including writing this blog, which is pretty difficult. I cannot seem to find the words to accurately describe how it is over here in Nsoko, Swaziland. The first couple of days here, my mind could not even comprehend the fact that I was no longer in Los Angeles,...

Salt and Light

Wow, hello everyone! It’s been a crazy week! Let me tell you a little bit about what I’ve been doing in the past 10 days. First, I’ll rewind to training camp. We arrived in Gainesville, GA and spent 3 days doing nothing but worshipping, praying, training, and being poured into. We left training camp on Sunday pumped up and ready to embark on our journey to the other side of the world. 42 hours later we (finally) arrived at our destination, Ratchaburi, Thailand. A quaint market town outside of Bangkok. It has been a whirlwind since we have arrived and I have loved every...

Intimacy in Uncomfortability

Before I left California for this missions trip, I asked God to change me on this mission. At training camp in Gainesville, I remember singing a song about God changing us the way He wanted to change us. The lady singing on the keyboard reminded us how bold of a prayer we were singing. For some reason, I didn’t think too much of it. I guess I assumed that God would tweak me a little, make me more eager to share the gospel, something like that. But I was wrong. Being honest, this time has been some of the most uncomfortable days in my life. It seems like the floor has been ripped out...

To Paint a Picture

FIRST: Thank you to everyone who supported me and helped me to get here! You are all incredible and I’m so blessed by you, can’t thank you enough! Ok so, just want to start off by saying a 15 hour plane ride isn’t as difficult as it sounds with Advil PM at your side 😉 We got here around 6:45 pm, greeted by a lovely Swazi smile we made our way to Pretoria to stay in a host home for the night. It was beautiful, like really beautiful and cozy and sweet. The next morning we hopped on our bus to Swaziland. For a hot second there I swear we were back in West Texas and then...
