Waterpark Fun

Over the past week my team and I have been working on fundraising to provide the orphans at New Hope Orphanage in Kampong Cham a day at the waterpark as well as uniforms for a summer camp they get to go to in August. The Lord provided and we were able to take the children and staff (almost 60 people) to a waterpark in Phnom Penh this past Sunday. All of the children had never been to a waterpark. It was so much fun to see their faces as they had fun in the pool and on the slides. Here are just a few of the pictures from that day:   A bunch of us made a giant chain in the water and...

The Last Supper

At training camp I was deep in prayer… we were praying over one another and building each other up with the words the Lord gave to us. Suddenly I heard the sound of digging… at first I could only see rocks and a little mud, it was like I was zoomed in on a camera… the vision started getting bigger and I could vividly see a man shoveling and I was helping him. It didn’t make sense. I asked God, “what does this mean?” He told me to “wait and see.” Fast forward a couple of weeks. The culture here is very “pura vida..” very...

Charge on Warriors of Christ!

Living in the states, it becomes too easy to forget about the demonic presence that is prevalent everyday of our lives. We give the enemy too much reign and way too much credit. Our hectic lives in America allows us to stay distracted and focused on everything but the spiritual realm. This gives the enemy the ability to bring chaos and destruction. In eSwatini, it is not so easy to ignore the demonic presence. On Thursday, my team and I visited a few homesteads. The whole day I had an uneasy feeling and with each visit, I kept asking God if the demonic presence were the reason for my...

Love is a Language

One thing I was anxious about before this mission trip was the language barrier. My two years of Spanish in high school did little to prepare me for a month in Costa Rica. Even so, I’ve been able to communicate and form relationships. You might be asking how that was possible. Well, as the Beatles would say, “All you need is love.” Or—to quote a more accurate source—John 13:34-35 says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one...

Filled to the Brim

As I sit at this cute little coffee shop in Santa Cruz, buried in my Bible and journal, I’m having a hard time putting into words the impact Costa Rica has had on my life and the way the Holy Spirit has completely wrecked me and transformed the way I think, see, and feel. At training camp, God wrecked me with his love and drew me closer to him. I let him in and let go of all of the shame and fear I was feeling. My worship was unexplainable, and the words that were once empty were now full of power… “there’s no mountain you won’t climb up, shadow you...
