Thailand Wrap Up

Hello! I wanted to give you all a look into some of the things we were privileged to be a part of during our time in Thailand and how they impacted me.   My team: First off, training camp was an incredible time of preparation and getting to know my team. We listened to speakers on topics such as the Kingdom of God, listening to the Holy Spirit, and what it means to fulfill the Great Commission (from Matthew 28:19-20). My leaders, Tara and Emily, were incredible. Tara is artistic and very in touch with the spiritual world – she has the gift of prophecy. Emily is the sweetest...

God’s Love For A Deaf/Mute Man

A couple weeks ago two of the guys on the team got haircuts from a local Cambodian named Davith. We didn’t find out until after that he was both mute and deaf.      From then on I began regularly praying for him and was wanting to bless him with a nice little tip when going back to get my hair cut (it only costs $2.50). So about two weeks later we all went back.   Davith was his regular friendly self. He immediately gave us a big smile and set out chairs for us to sit on. I showed him the cut I wanted and he went to work.   Once he finished, myself and Joe...

HIS KINDNESS FOLLOWS

When I first heard the Lord call my name to minister to the people of Thailand for a month, I was terrified. Fear overcame me, and a thousand reasons of why I shouldn’t go flooded into my mind. But I was aware who was putting those thoughts of doubt into my head — so I didn’t partner with them. I partnered with the Lord and decided to trust Him, despite what I was feeling. My feelings aren’t trustworthy, they are easily swayed, but the Word of God stands firm forever and is never moved. So why would I put my trust in something that can collapse rather than something...

FOR ALL PEOPLE

my time in thailand was spent alongside 11 other ladies who love jesus more than anything. i have learned more about the character of God by seeing them live life daily and through hearing their life stories – for every single of one them it’s by grace they’ve been saved. and His grace is painted so beautifully in their lives. they’ve given me hope for every one of my friends to come to know Jesus as the Love of their life. it’s because of this love that has transformed their lives that they are propelled to share the good news of Jesus with everyone...

bare foot

For the past month I have been living in a little community in Ratchaburi, Thailand. Every morning I woke up and walked down the street to get some sweetened condensed milk with a side of instant coffee from “granny”. I came back, sat on the roof, admired the sky, and spent time with Jesus. I would shower and start sweating legitimately .5 seconds after turning off the water. Everyday my team would hop in our song tau (the back of a truck full of benches) and head off to ministry. Every where we entered we left our shoes outside and ran around in our bare feet. In the last...

The real, messy faith.

So, here I am, stuck in an airport, awaiting six hours to board my rebooked flight. Soon, I will get on a plane and fly back to where it all started: Atlanta. So, while I am waiting, I have decided use this time for good, and share a little bit about my month that I was to busy to actually update people on.  So what exactly have I learned within the last month? I mean, I can’t really pin down every single thing I did learn, but I can tell you that I have learned a lot. How to listen. How to follow. But most importantly, how to really have faith. Because faith is a word that...
