Comfortably Uncomfortable

It’s been almost 2 weeks and I’ve experienced so much of God’s presence. On July 2 when my parents drove me to Georgia to the AIM office/headquarters, I had no idea what to expect because as many of you already knew, i didn’t know ANYBODY i would be spending this whole month with. But God had this beautiful plan in specifically choosing each of the people on my team. In Acts 2:42-47, Luke talks about the fellowship of believers and how they worked together for one purpose. Its so powerful to experience the very fellowship he wrote about even though you‘ve only...

Processing Peru

So I’ve officially been back in the USA for about two weeks now, and I’ve finally had a good amount of time to process this past month serving in Peru. How you dress…

How you dress… it varies from culture to culture, from climate to climate and from people to people. How you dress is a statement to the world of who you are. How you dress is a representation of who you are. In a world of comparison where you might feel vulnerable and insecure, God steps j . Out of His abundant love and care he dresses ya in strength and dignity. He calls us to put on the belt of truth, the Breast plate of righteousness, putting on the readiness given by the Gospel of peace, to put on the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and having the sword of the word. He...

Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual warfare is generally defined as the rebellion of Satan and his angels against God, and the means he uses to do so. For whatever reason, darkness in our minds is rarely recognized as warfare in day to day life in the States. The human battle against Satan is disguised more as materialism, pride, common anxiety, etc. There is no doubt that Satan works just as hard to cause weakness in America, but the ways he chooses to go about this simply match the American heart.  My first night in India, my team decided to go to bed around 7 pm local time. We had been fighting jetlag around...
