Off to “the Hills”

Our ministry host informed us about our second ministry location. We were warned that the climate and weather was different than what we had been experiencing. I was specifically warned that this location would take the team out of their comfort zone. A lot of the conveniences they were used to would not be available in the location we were going. Things would not be the same…

On September 25, 2017, our bags packed, we packed two 5 passenger off roading vehicles with 12 passengers and 2 drivers totaling 14 people in addition to live chickens and supplies for us to live off for the next 3 weeks. It would be hard to receive additional supplies and at least 3 days notice would be needed for replenishment. “Be smart and don’t waste” was their way of telling us to help them.

“India does not maintain the roads we will be taking on this trip. Therefore, it will be a long, bumpy ride. On a highway, this trip would take about 2-3 hours. But with the conditions of the roads we will be traveling through it will take a minimum of 10-12 hours.”
