Patrick “Sweet Potato” is one of the elderly from the Maramba Old People’s home. He was born and raised in Zimbabwe, but moved to the home in 2006 when there were riots. He has five children that still live in Zimbabwe. Since his parents were not educated, he is not sure how old he is, they believe he is 85-90. I cannot believe that I am sitting on the couch at our ministry location in South Africa. As I was preparing for this trip people would ask me, “Are you in school?” and I would reply “Actually I am going to mission in Africa for three months”.
