The Gardener

Imagine your life is a garden, it has twists and turns, it has some wilting flowers and some just about to bloom, it has room for seeds that haven’t been planted yet, and places that still need to be cleared from some ugly weeds that took over. We’ve been given access to the most amazing Gardener in the world, He’s offered to come in and help with the garden if we let Him. He has a plan for it, He knows every inch of the garden like it’s His own, and intends to make it the most vibrant display of color and beauty the worlds ever seen. And He’s offered His help...

Why Pentecost ruined everything

I don’t know what those 120 people loved like before the upper room, or the 3,000 saved directly after, or the 2,000 that followed even after that. He has five children that still live in Zimbabwe. Since his parents were not educated, he is not sure how old he is, they believe he is 85-90. We love to read the Bible, even if it takes us 30 minutes to read 10 verses and talk about “God the Maker” with him. A few more things to know about Sweet potato; he’s charismatic, passionate, a storyteller, very talkative, and he loves to dance!...

The Beginning of This Journey

I cannot believe that I am sitting on the couch at our ministry location in South Africa. As I was preparing for this trip people would ask me, “Are you in school?” and I would reply “Actually I am going to mission in Africa for three months”. But those were just words, they didn’t stick and hold the full meaning of this reality. Now I am here and it is absolutely insane. The travel was really rough getting here. Sooooo from Atlanta to Qatar we had a 14 hour flight, a 10 hour layover in Qatar, a 10 hour flight from Qatar to Cape Town, and finally a 12 hour bus...
