Rumor Has it That We Made it to Cambodia!

Hello friends, parents, siblings, etc! I’m sure you’ve heard by now, but we’ve made it to Cambodia! This month we will be working with a ministry called New Hope for Orphans, located a few hours outside of Phenom Penh. Our days mostly look like teaching English, playing with kids, and asking the Lord what to do next. There will be more updates to come over the next few weeks/months, so stay tuned for more!

A Lady with a Rake

This past weekend my team and I went to Phi Phi Island to spend our day off and to celebrate Alexis’s birthday. We rode a ferry to get to the island and let me just say it is absolutely gorgeous. Mae Sot

Hello everyone!  Team 1, aka the Big Team arrived, in Mae Sot yesterday afternoon!  We were all able to shower and get about three hours of sleep on at the hostel in Bangkok, before we had to get up and go to the bus station to catch our ride to Mae Sot. New Beginnings Calvary Chapel Patong

After crazy amount of travel, the smaller Southeast Asia team has arrived safely to their host where we were greeted by a slight power outage and delicious dinner waiting for us on the table. We began our day by heading to the bus terminal at 4:30am (after arriving to the hostel around 11pm). We had said our goodbyes to the other team the night before, so we were all ready to go. At the bus terminal, we bought some yummy snacks for the ride and even found real DONUTS! Blessings upon blessings. What we thought was supposed to be an 11 hour drive turned into 15 hours. So, it was a very long day,...

Safe and Sound in Thailand

Hello everyone!  Just wanted to let everyone know that the Fall 2016 Southeast Asia team has made it to our hostel in Bangkok.  After a long 15 hour flight to Korea and a shorter, but still long feeling, flight to Thailand we have safely arrived at our hostel for the evening! We will have about 6 hours to shower and rest before we head out on buses in the morning to our locations!  Everyone has had an amazing attitude and we have all been laughing a lot!  Continue to pray for safe travels as we complete our last leg in the morning!
