Hope In Heaven

Friends!! Sawadeekah (hello)!!!!     After 42 hours of traveling, we have FINALLY made it to Thailand! We stayed for one night in Bangkok, & are now at our host home for the month in Ratchaburi.  I can’t tell you what day it is or what time it is, but what i can tell you, is that God is on the move.   May 31 was when our team arrived to Gainesville, GA for training camp. From the moment we all stepped foot into the AIM building, God’s goodness has been so evident & so abundant. He carefully handpicked each person on this team & for that, i am so...

Thai life

Hey everyone! Week 1 in Thailand has come to a wrap and it has been so good. I’ve experienced culture shock for the first time, seen a Thai girl come to know Christ as their Lord and savior, been a guest on a radio show,  gone for a very wet but beautiful run through (/near) the rice fields, ridden strictly in the back of a pickup truck to go anywhere, eaten crickets, fed a homeless man, been to several markets, led VBS (vacation Bible school) for Burmese refugee children, and prayed for a jewelry crafter. It has had its ups and downs but I’ve come away so thankful for the...

the simplicity of village life

Hello!! I cannot believe we are already 6 days into our time in Kampong Cham, Cambodia. I have learned so much about my teammates, my self, Cambodian culture, and the wonderful people of Cambodia. We are serving at an orphanage in a village. I love the simplicity of village life. Mornings are slow and peaceful. My team and I eat breakfast together and then we complete whatever projects the orphanage needs done. Currently half of the team is painting a mural, while the other half works on lesson plans for teaching English to the kids. The children go to school Monday-Saturday from...

The Ethereal Warrior

Embarking on a missions trip, crossing the Atlantic Ocean for the first time is probably the craziest thing that I have ever done. But sometimes you just have to let go of your fear and be crazy for Jesus. This has proven to be the best experience ever and I am only 5/6 days into my trip. I have experienced many firsts including writing this blog, which is pretty difficult. I cannot seem to find the words to accurately describe how it is over here in Nsoko, Swaziland. The first couple of days here, my mind could not even comprehend the fact that I was no longer in Los Angeles,...
