Distracted by the Word

It is Day 13 in Thailand, and I am only now posting my blog. During Training Camp in Gainesville, Georgia we learned that blogging is a way to share the Word with people everywhere,on the mission field and at home. I like to say my procrastination is for a good reason… but it’s not! In my down time I am too busy READING the Word and when I’m out and about I am too busy LIVING the Word through my connections with the Thai people and my team. I realized I have forgotten to SPEAK the Word. I forgot about the sole mission Christ has sent all of us on after his resurrection in...

I’ve never been so torn apart in my entire life, but as much as I hate to admit it, this is exactly what I needed, and God knew it all along.  Life was perfect before this trip. Unfortunately, there is a problem resting in perfection. Although I knew that I could never be perfect, I continued to strive for it. I would set new goals before old ones were...

Bathing in Holy Water

The amount of bug spray, sunscreen, and buying half the store of old navy seemed to prepare me well to embark on this journey to the Amazon River. Little did I realize that the physical things I seemed to think I needed should not have been so high at the top of my list. Never did I think I would ever be in a foreign country with nine other people I have never met before. Also did I never think that I wouldn’t have the accessibility to ever take a “normal shower”, or as to what I thought was normal. Let’s go over what my normal was… hot 30 minute showers, lets...

Hope In Heaven

Friends!! Sawadeekah (hello)!!!!     After 42 hours of traveling, we have FINALLY made it to Thailand! We stayed for one night in Bangkok, & are now at our host home for the month in Ratchaburi.  I can’t tell you what day it is or what time it is, but what i can tell you, is that God is on the move.   May 31 was when our team arrived to Gainesville, GA for training camp. From the moment we all stepped foot into the AIM building, God’s goodness has been so evident & so abundant. He carefully handpicked each person on this team & for that, i am so...
