Can You Hear the Holy Spirit? Often when we pray, it’s a one way conversation but this morning we invited the Holy Spirit to dialogue with us. 5 of us got together, we wrote our names down and passed them out but did not look to see whose name we had. The first night in Africa I woke up to someone trying to break into our house and our security guard Cartwright chasing them away. Cartwright has been a pleasure to have around our compound. Every time we walk past him, he greets us with a big smile. The one thing that caught me off guard was one night when I asked him if he wanted an apple. His jaw slightly dropped and he responded with, “I haven’t had an apple in over three years”. This made me realize how little I understand what poverty looks like. While I was spending time with the Lord on Sunday, Jan 15, 2017, He told me to fill out an application I’d received two weeks prior for leading a group of 18-22 year olds on a 3 month mission trip, called Passport. I filled out the application that morning and had an interview and was accepted to lead on Friday, Jan 20, 2017.   I am co-leading a Passport trip to Zambia and Botswana. Our team will be in Zambia for 2 months and Botswana for 1 month. We left on Monday, Jan 23, 2017 for Zambia.  My co-leader is Evan, he returned from the World Race in November, 2016....
