A Shot In My Bum

After the first couple of weeks I look down at my legs and arms and count 81 bug bites. Since then I had someone help me put up my Mosquito net. However the bug bites became infected from rubbing and itching. It came to a point that the leaders voluntold me to go to the local clinic to get things checked out. At first I was actually really mad because I felt as if I was not being treated like an adult. But now after thinking about it I realize that they were just looking out. I told the guys who went with me that “what happens at the clinic stays at the clinic” because of my low pain tolerance. The first day the nurse used an IV in my hand. But the second day she gave me a shot right in the butt. I am blessed with a great humor so the jokes that were made did not offend me. However there is a line where jokes can be taken too far. While I am still working on finding that line, I feel as if this time in Zambia is the perfect time to grow in personally, spiritually, and mentally.

As I am growing with the people around me I am finding out that these people may be some of my lifetime best friends. We are growing closer and closer to the Lord we are also growing closer and closer to each other. Everyone is on this trip for a purpose, if God wanted someone else here He would have sent said person but no He sent us, while we are unsure of that reason we know that our God is good all the time, and all the time our God is good. We cling onto this phrase through the hard times here and the good times. We all have our differences and we all have our quirks but somehow we all live together attempt to show God’s love in everything we do. (Sorry for the jumbled mess)
