Patrick “Sweet Potato” is one of the elderly from the Maramba Old People’s home. He was born and raised in Zimbabwe, but moved to the home in 2006 when there were riots. He has five children that still live in Zimbabwe. Since his parents were not educated, he is not sure how old he is, they believe he is 85-90. We love to read the Bible, even if it takes us 30 minutes to read 10 verses and talk about “God the Maker” with him. A few more things to know about Sweet potato; he’s charismatic, passionate, a storyteller, very talkative, and he loves to dance!
