For our first day officially working, we were scheduled to do construction!
Knowing me, I’m the laziest person in America and the best person to complain on everything! But when we got to the site to begin our job we were told to move a pile of bricks to the second level of a new building being built….. My eyes got so big knowing that I don’t do manual labor. But I knew that I came to India to serve, so I sucked it up in my heart!
As we began to move the blocks we didn’t make a plan and started to move on our own. We moved several bricks down the hill and up the staircase several times. It was very tiring and not efficient, but we kept going! Then someone noticed a cart attached to a bike. We came together as one team working together. It was so empowering to see all of us to achieve one goal!
The point of this story is to let you visualize what God allows us to do in our lives. On our daily walk He will let us do things and think for ourselves. Working for a goal and trying to win for yourself and then realizing that it is harder to do for yourself rather than asking the Lord for assistance is a tough time! But then He will put something in your path that will make your walk way easier!
The God I know will allow me to do for myself and let me figure things out, but will put something in my way for me to use as I go! But when I use it i want to glorify Him because I know that I couldn’t do it without Him!!
