Universal God

Saturday and Sunday are both days where we have church with the kids and some of the people from the village. They are both such impactful nights full of praise. Last Saturday night we sang “Every Move I Make” and then two Khmer worship songs.

Looking around at the children’s faces was so moving. Their faces showed complete joy, peace, and love for the Father. I was brought to tears knowing how big of a positive impact in Cambodia these children will be as future fathers, mothers, employees, and friends.

After worship we joined hands in a circle and spent time praying about different topics such as forgiveness, energy, people going through hard times, and freedom. Every person prayed out loud with both Khmer and English voices mixing together in the room. It was a beautiful moment that reminded me how universal our God is.

Nothing keeps Jesus from reaching to the ends of the earth. Even the most remote parts of the world are promised to hear the gospel. I’m so thankful for the beautiful reminder of the power of God. My team and I are not the only people that are pouring into these kids and this village; we are such a minut part of that. I’m so thankful that we get the opportunity to experience this beautiful culture and be a part of the work that God is doing here in a small village of the Kampong Cham province.

Please pray for these kids and that they would continue to grow in their love and knowledge of God so they can continue to build up the kingdom of God.
