Training Camp & Dancing Champ

Arriving to Training Camp was a sureal experience. All I has expected, everything I had imagined in my head (think boot-camp styled physical training, drill sergeant‘s and all that) was instantly thrown out the window. Instead, I was welcomed into an extended family in the body of Christ. Each day consisted of 12 hours of Jesus-Centered, chain breakin’ goodness. Between the worship services, multiple sermons and team-time to get acclimated with the humans we’d be living in close quarters with, I’ve found this joy and peace of the unknown and nearing future events.

Let’s talk real quick about the dance off on our second full day (January 27th). Soooo I’ve been pretty quiet so far, I come out of my shell a little and than turtle shell right back in the second I get uncomfortable, #RealTalk, I’m working through it and it’s getting better as I’m getting to know my team more. Back to this dance battle; it was EPIC. We danced our shoes off, literally and figuratively. I love to dance, I’m not good at it, but I love it and so because of that when I start dancing I go All out. Like spastic dance moves all out. I guess my spastic dance moves were so *cough cough* impressive that i was selected to go and solo dance battle a person from Thailand for the final round. #Squademala WON THAT DANCE BATTLE BABY!

It’s beautiful how God has chosen this team. Each one of us are completely different, and yet we work together very very well. It’s such an awesome representation of unity and I am beyond honored to be apart of it.  Training Camp is officially over, and with that we are all currently waiting in the airport until we board, excited and ready for every good thing our God has in store.

“For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?”
Romans 10:13-14 NLT
