Pursuing God is really good. Doing the good things and going to church every Sunday is just not enough. Wanting a relationship and not willing to put the effort in getting to know God will not fill you up. It’s great that you are going good things and going to church and don’t get me wrong God loves that, but he wants more. He wants you to get to know him and really read the bible and learn more about the scripture. Being in Nepal and going to a church I don’t understand makes me feel a little empty. I don’t get the most out of the lecture and I crave more. Knowing that I can really feel that I need to get more in touch with God. Not just me but everyone that claims to follow him. The Holy Spirit is already inside of each one of us and we have to put in the effort in making it grow and nurturing it to reach the level God wants it to be. Not knowing the word of God confuses us. It makes us question ourselves and our relationship with God. Deuteronomy 4:29 says “but if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.” No matter if you go to the best church you will not find him if you’re not looking for him. To look for him you don’t have to go to the biggest church, you don’t have to do sacrifices, all you have to do is open yourself to Him and accept Him. Don’t stop there keep feeding yourself with his scripture. God said this to all of us in Timothy 3:14-17 “But as for you, continue in what you have learned and become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All scripture is God-Breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” In order to being able to stand tall in Faith, we have to know more about his word. “Jesus answered, “It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” This was said when Jesus was being tested. The comeback he said was the Word of God. How will you protect yourself when the temptation and the attacks come? We have to feed ourselves in order to grow more and protect each other. Prayer is also great He already knows everything that has happened when you tell him your needs and surrender that you have no control it brings much more value. I want to know more about God. I want to sit down and ask him questions and really get to know his battles. During this adventure, I will continue to pursue him heavily. He is my Creator, He is my Redeemer, therefore He’s my owner.
