immeasurable greatness

hellllllo!!! So sorry for the delayed update!! We had a blast last week! During our time here, I have been dwelling on Ephesians 1:18 and thanking Jesus for all that He has provided.

E 1:18 is part of Paul’s prayer for the church: “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are His GLORIOUS riches among the saints, and what is the IMMEASURABLE greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the work of His VAST strength.”

Last week was encouraging, fruitful, and lightening quick. Every single day left me wanting a few additional hours added to it. We were able to spend time with other believers at Montana Church, teach English at a local school, and lead Rice Seeds (a vbs type ministry for refugee children).

I loved every minute, but highlight of my week was teaching school. I’ve always loved school so being able to teach English here was a dream!! In my mind the biggest obstacle we were going to face was the language barrier. FUN FACT: Thai is the 4th hardest language in the world with 5 different tones. Aka one word can have 5 meanings depending what tone you use and if you know me well then you KNOW I’ve been over here struggling. I spent an entire class period trying to perfect the word “good job” which was pronounced “yee-um.” Every time I said it the kids always looked so confused. At the end the translator broke it to me that I never said it right and my team told me they thought it was something we used in the south to say good…… struggling :,)

With every doubt, I realized I was not trusting the Lord and His immeasurable greatness and power. While I was busy worrying about the little details that seemed like they could be a setback, He already had a plan with a solution. Before school on Tuesday, He not only provided one, but TWO extra translators for us. How GOOD is He?! With their help we were able to more effectively share His promises and answer the extra questions that they had about Jesus. (S/o to Jasmine and Kuk Kik- two of the best girls I’ve ever known!!!!!!)

As I have been praying about the different ministry opportunities, some situations seem impossible. Through every worry, He continues to remind me how good He has been so far. Through every fear Jesus continues to replace it with faithfulness. He continuously provides every single need. He WANTS us to share the good news that it His love.

I want to encourage each of you with this testament of his faithfulness. He WANTS to provide, He WILL provide, and He has ALREADY made a way to do just that. Hold on to His promises and keep asking for His help while you are serving Him. Step out in faith, with Him by your side. He never asked us to do it alone.

we have BOLDNESS, ACESS, and CONFIDENCE through FAITH in Him. Ephesians 3:12

to Him who is able to do ABOVE and BEYOND all that we ask or think- according to the POWER that works in you- to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.   Ephesians 3:20-21

Thank you Jesus for providing a way for us to be with You forever. Thank you for not having any favoritism or restrictions on Your love. Thank you for providing everything necessary to share Your good news and further Your kingdom. Thank You for promising to never leave or forsake us. Thank You for going before us and walking with us. You are so so so sweet and kind and good to us. All of the glory, honor, and praise is Yours!!
