Everywhere

Jesus is everywhere. He doesn’t just meet in the big sanctuaries with bright lights and hundreds/thousands of people. He meets in the small room of a house-turned-church with only 15 members.

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” – Matthew 18:20

Today, our last ministry day here, was a reminder of that. We went to Motana Church this morning to preach a message and walked into a small, but beautiful yellow room with a few pews and a pulpit. The yellow walls instantly made me smile and brought feelings of warmth & joy to my heart. Isn’t it funny how God can use a paint color on a wall to remind you of the comfort & joy He brings when gathering in His name?

We continued in, met everyone, & then had some of the most heartfelt, pure, and passionate worship thus far on the trip. As we were singing “How Great Is Our God,” i looked at the lead singer of the worship team & she was no longer singing, but overwhelmed by tears crying out to God about His greatness and might. In that moment, i realized:
Jesus is everywhere.
Yes, it was something i already knew, but i needed to be reminded of it. I needed to be reminded that His presence doesn’t have qualifications.

God will show up when we seek His face and worship Him. He doesn’t need anything else but our hearts.

He doesn’t need a big stage, cool lights, or the newest music. And He also doesn’t need a list of all the good things you’ve done in the past week, all the bad things, or a paper showing how many times you have or haven’t opened up your Bible in the last few days. None of that matters to Him.

All He needs is a heart surrendered to Him.

When we give Him that, we allow His presence to come in and move, miracles take place, and life change occur. When Jesus comes, He doesn’t just stand in the room and watch. He’s active – He’s moving. He’s redeeming, healing, loving, forgiving, comforting, and protecting.

He wants to be with you, wherever you are.

He doesn’t just show up in the good times, but He’s there in the bad times too. He is everywhere, and with you always.

“….and behold, I am with you always, to the end of age.” – Matthew 28:20
